Hi BB, wow how close was that, lol, 1 point! I like the new name, romantic, plus I think we all enjoy looking through the oven, door esp when baking! :)
ReplyDeleteI will have to clean mine now so I can see 'Through the oven door'. Great choice guys.
ReplyDeleteLOL Hazzer, I made a similar comment, I can see *nothing* through mine;) Thanks to everyone who participated in the vote:)
ReplyDeleteThank you to everyone who participated in the vote. it really was a close call!! I am very happy with throughtheovendoor.com. I like Hazzer, now need to clean mine, so that I can see through it!! I wonder what I will see when I do?!
ReplyDeleteGood name, kind of Narnia like!
ReplyDeleteI am alway curious as to why the oven door gets dirtier than the interior! It is like a magnet:)
ReplyDeleteLinda H, Narnia! I love it! I loved that book " lion, witch and the wardrobe"! :)
ReplyDeleteYes Linda, Narnia like really somes it up :) I love it.
ReplyDeleteSurely through an oven door wont lead to a beautiful but snow covered world......maybe a world made where the ground is roasted meats and you need to watch out for quiche-sand.... ROFL!!!
ReplyDelete...or it could lead to snow-flecked brownies...I just made some yesterday...yummy!
ReplyDeleteMy oven door is actually clean.. but that is due to the fact that I have a fairly new oven, as some of you might remember. Happy with the name. Very close call.
ReplyDeleteLove the new name. I was feeling all childishly churlish about having the name Nigella in our name - silly I know - since we all met there - but well - I'm menopausal - I'm allowed to be childish!!
ReplyDeleteOMG - did I say the word Menopausal!!!! Is that allowed? Am I not going to get the e-mail slap on the wrist! :)
LOL Markella, welcome to a world void of Webmistresses and taken over by logical thinkers.
ReplyDeleteYEEEHAAA... am chuffed to bits!!!!! :) Thanks BB for making it one of the shortlist and am thrilled people liked it enough!
ReplyDeleteWow, what a close call, love the name and look forward to sharing cooking passion and other interests with everyone.. (perhaps even natural ways to combat the dredded *M*) but shhhhhh I did'nt really mention it either...
ReplyDeleteperhaps the oven door leads to a magnificent teashop! yum
ReplyDeleteI like the new name. I think it is a safer bet than 'Nigella friends' as, with the forum ending so abruptly, I think Nigella may have lost a few of her 'friends' along the way sadly! Look forward to posting here. Cupcake x
ReplyDeleteSnow-flecked brownies, Yum:) That sounds good. Is there a recipe to that? I have heard of a brownie recipe with a swirled sweetened marshmallow-cream swirl thru it!
ReplyDeleteDivinely rich and decadent but not for the faint of heart! I bet a peanut butter swirled brownie would be good too!! Afraid I am having a sweet attack!
Has anyone heard from Jon or CAL from the old forum?
ReplyDeleteJon and CAL are both on the FB Nigella Friends page and will be on the new forum when it opens.
ReplyDeleteLinda,
I really want to try Ina Garten's (Barefoot Contessa) Peanut Swirl Brownies.

and this is the snow flecked brownie recipe from Nigella and it is very good.

What a good job I've recently had my oven professionally cleaned and can see through the door...
ReplyDeleteBB, I'm so glad we have finally picked a name and a fine one at that. Looking forward to the day that we launch our own forum.
ReplyDeleteYAY!!!! I see LindaH too!
ReplyDeleteMmmm....the peanut butter swirl brownies sound delicious. I have used a ton of her recipes and they are on-point!
I had a brownie once that was dense and moist dark chocolate with peanut icing and then a thin layer of chocolate ganache.
yes, a sugar buzz. so, yummy.
You are all making me drool over my keyboard!! I have had the pleasure of baking and eating white chocolate and peanut butter blondies. Well, that was the name, I would be more inclined to call them sinful brownies! They were yum!! Next time I make them I will be adding extra chocolate.
ReplyDeleteGood to see more familiar names popping up :)
Great name
ReplyDeleteLove the new name and can't wait to move into our new home
ReplyDeleteHow exciting! The name does sound mysterious, but then the light inside my oven has broken so I never quite know what's going on inside LOL!!
ReplyDeleteWell done to the team for organising the vote! :)
Hello Tart13!!! Good to see you! I love her recipes too. That brownie you described is sounding awfully good:P
ReplyDeleteThank you BB for the recipes! I thought it sounded familiar!
Anyone heard from Greyluv?
Coby, I guess it might look like snow in the oven if a baked potato exploded! I have an overactive imagination:)
I am very pleased with the new name, I know Nigella friends was my idea for the fb site, but only so we would all find the group. I am still very annoyed with Nigella and would rather not have her name in the new forum.
